What with the shenanigans of the Carson case in London, it could have been out of Alice in Wonderland, and Europe's insistence that Britain updates and indexes the pensions of Britons in a whole lot of new countries joining the European Union. It is time we, all of us, upped the anti.
The BAPA committee is convinced that the chances of winning parity now are greater than they have ever been - but we need YOUR help. We need a lot more members - the courts and the Government continually ask, how many members does BAPA have ? The answer, unfortunately, is not enough.
YOU can help by printing out membership forms from this web site and persuading all your British friends and acquaintances, of all ages, to become members. It only costs $20.00, plus anything else they feel able to offer. One 80 year old pensioner has already offered BAPA £1,000 (yes pounds) to help the fights in court yet to come - in Britain and the European Union.
If you are already a member of BAPA, please dig deep and see what you can afford to contribute. Minister Amanda Vanstone and many members of the Federal Government are very much on-side with us but for them to convince Government we must be seen to be doing our bit too.
A win will help all present British pensioners resident overseas and will ensure that those of you who have not yet reached retirement age will get your full entitlements when you do.
The more members we get the more we will be respected.
The more money we raise the more financial help we will be able to call for from Government.
